Getting Started on the IRONPITT

This page is a guide to getting started using this website. You can click on each subtitle for more information on getting started in a certain area.

Where to Begin
  • Setting Up Your Profile

    Your profile tells other people about you and whatever else you want them to know. You can get started setting up your profile in one of two ways:

    First, you can go directly to your profile page and start editing. This is the same as clicking the CUSTOMIZE MY PROFILE PAGE link on the menu.

    If you prefer to get started by editing all the information at once, you can use the EDIT MY PROFILE page. Please remember that some things, like rearranging the blocks on your profile page, can only be done directly from the page.

  • Uploading Photos

    You can upload photos to your photo gallery to share with others.

    The first photo you upload, will automatically become your photo on the website. You can change your photo after you have uploaded additional photos by using the set as my default photo option.

    You can also easily use these pictures in your profile, blog entries and comments you leave one other users' profiles.

  • Starting a Blog

    A blog, or web log, is a place where you can write and share with the world. They are typically used to write on a particular subject or to keep an online diary, but are sometimes used for other purposes.

    Before your write your first entry, you might want to change your blog settings, which includes the name of your Blog and an optional description. You can also customize the theme of your Blog.

  • Starting a Calendar

    This site provides you a place to keep your own calendar. You can set events on your calendar as public, private or friends only on an individual basis.

    You might also want to try editing your calendar settings. There you can change things like your timezone, what day your week starts on and defaults for new events.
